The Adventures of Brady's Birth:

Tuesday August 4, 2009: Checked into the hopital to have labor induced.

Induced labor begins at 8:30pm, 32 hours, Pitocin, 2 epidurals (the first only made the right side numb), dialating 8.5 cm (I was already 1.5 when I went in), 100% effaced, no food for 29 hours, numerous popcicles, BJ being a supportive and loving husband, Brady "sunny side up" (she was in the wrong position), Dr. Myers manually repositioning her to the right position, pushing for over an hour, Brady's head being opstructed by pubic bone, having spinal tap, and 1 C-Section later . . .

Thursday August 6, 2009 at 5:15am Brady was born healthy and as beautiful as BJ and I could ever hope for.

  4. Oh my goodness, what an ordeal for someone so little! I don't think a weaker woman would have been able to make it! I wonder if her birth has any implications for how she's going to be as she grows up....so happy that through it all, Brady came out healthy!
