Gramma and Poppa D Christmas 2011

Gramma and Poppa D, Uncle Allen and Vanessa, Brady, BJ and Me

"Christmas" for Brady?  This is and was her favorite saying during our trip to Texas in December.  Everywhere we stopped Brady was getting presents and lots of lovin.  The Diltz Family Christmas dinner was the opposite of The Martin Family Crazy Christmas since Brady is the one and only little munchkin.  Dinner was very GOOD since Claudia prepared it all.   The present exchange was so much fun.  Being able to give your loved ones gifts is a great feeling.  Brady enjoyed every moment.  She was opening her gifts while also making sure that everyone had one to open as well.  Thank you Gramma and Poppa D.  We will see you soon in February 2012.

The Diltz Family and Friends Get Together 2011

The Get Together "Everyone come see Brady" hosted by Claudia Diltz

Party! Party! Party!  Diltzs, Brnovaks, Guynes, Brandenburgers, Martins, Jeters, Griggs, Etters, Pitmans, with many many more PLUS a beautiful cake by Bill Gersonde.  Gramma or Claudia does a great job getting everyone together so that we dont have to make the rounds of Abilene and Merkel during our very limit time in Texas.  It was a beautiful set up with desserts, fruits, cheeses and Champagne.  Brady was the life and center of attention just where she likes it.  Thank you to everyone that came to see us.  We wish we had more time to spend with everyone. See everyone the next time we make it out west.

Martin Family Crazy 2011

Wow, put a 3 1/2 yr old (Dakota), 2 1/2 yr old (Brady), 2 yr old (Stoney), and 1 1/2 year old (Charlie) in a house with LOTS of family members, presents, sugary treats, and no naps  . . . you get the Martin Family Crazy Christmas 2011.

Honey and Pops always knew how to have a GREAT CHRISTMAS!!  The tree was over flowing with presents, the stocking were stuffed and the kitchen counters were stacked full of food.  Brady had such a great time getting all kinds of attention and love from 1. Honey and Pops  2. Nana and Deedee  3. Aunt Bonnie  4. Uncle Baron, Aunt Lacey, and Cousin Charlie  5.  Aunt Bethany, Uncle Jason, Cousin Dakota and Stoney  6. Uncle Gene.

We were going to get a Martin Family Picture but there was never a chance to get everyone in it.  Maybe the next time we are all together.

Thank you so much everyone for making this Christmas one we will never forget. The Trip to Texas is never long enough and we never get to see everyone that we want to.  Hopefully the next trip we will see the ones that we missed this past trip.  Love you all!!!

Country Girl at Heart

Christmas Visit to College Station, Texas to visit Gr.aunt Julie and Great Uncle Todd Carroll.  We broke up the 12 hour drive straight I-20 making a detour through College Station.   Getting to College Station on Saturday to have dinner and show off Brady.  Brady played outside and loved every minute with all the sticks, rocks, dirt and fun new things to explore.  That night Brady kept trying to go up stairs after I told her repeatedly to stay down stairs.  The lights were off so I said "Brady, it is dark up stairs and that means we go night night."  Brady replies "Mommy just turn on the light."  Alright wise butt.  So either I have a really smart 2 year old or I set myself up for that one.

Sunday morning we were up and ready to hit the road but we had to make a stop for brunch at Blue Baker (the original).  We met up with our good friend Don.  It was great getting to see family and friends while we were in College Station.  We also LOVE seeing everyone.  Cant wait to be in College Station again. WHOOP and Gig'em.  (maybe I shouldnt say that considering A&M is now in the SEC)  Roll Tide!!
