Wilmington, North Carolina

Driving for 20 hours,  only two stops each way, adult uninterrupted conversation, shopping, eating, drinking while staying at a beautiful OLD house for a weekend in Historic Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina was amazing.  I would like to take this time to THANK from the bottom of my heart:

My MOM "HONEY" and BJ's MOM "GRAMMA"

for driving 12 hours to stay with and spoil Brady for the long weekend while BJ and I traveled to North Carolina to attend Nick Seiler and Day Young's wedding.

Our vacations are never complete without a trip to a Brewery or Distillery.

Abilene, Texas: Martin Family

Second Part of our Abilene trip we moved just a couple blocks away over to Honey and Pops' house to where cousins waited for Brady to play . . . . .

Day 1: Brady and I moved things over to Honey and Pops' house to stay for three nights.  BJ stayed over at his parents house to hang out with them a little more.  Brady, Dakota, and Stoney played and played in Honey's Giant playroom full of toys but the most fun were the toy tubs that turned into personalized swimming pools.  Brady got to celebrate her 3rd Birthday again with more presents - tap shoes, frilly socks, fairy costumes and a princess tent - and a pinata.

This is a redneck cousin pool party west Texas style.
An attempt at nap time that was not successful.
Stoney and Brady getting mentally prepared for all the candy that Aunt Bethany filled the pinata with.
Swing batter, batter . . . .
The princess castle took a beating.
Dakota was the winner and sent the candy flying.
While Pops cooked the cousins decided to challenge the tree.  THE BEST climbing tree.

Day 2:  Abilene is in water restrictions but you would never know by how much Brady played in the water. Trip to Nelson Splash for the kids to play in the water.  Met up with Irma Weatherford and her two beautiful kids (Olivia and Gabe).  After the fun we headed back to Honey's house for ice cream birthday cake!!  I so want one for my birthday!!!  After cake time the cousins played and kinda rested.  BJ and I went shopping for boots at Cavendars.  BJ found boots he wanted in about 10 minutes,  Happy Birthday, Anniversary, and Merry Christmas!!!!
Run all that energy off.  Maybe take a nap!!!
Honey and Stoney
Abilene  . . . nice addition to Nelson Park.  The Martin Cousins LOVED it!!!
Met up with one of my friends Irma and her kids for the Nelson Splash fun!!!
Smile!!!!
Happy Birthday Brady!!  Ice Cream cake that BJ cut into the night before.  It was calling his name . . .
Yum!!!  Baskin Robins

Day 3:  Pops off day!! Pops, Brady, BJ and I went to visit Nana and Deedee.  I am so mad that I didnt get any pictures.  I was too worried about Brady breaking one of Nana glass things that were all at little hand level.  After Pops and BJ did the mini yard we all went and pick up Pop's boat.  I tried to convince him that he could bring it to Tuscaloosa where there are LOTS of lakes and leave it with us.  We would take really good care of it but he did not fall for it.  Nap on the couch while BJ and Pops fixed the fence.  Grilling and drinking!!!  Fun times while Brady played.  Last night at Honey and Pops house.  Everyone headed to Plano for Charlie's 2nd Birthday Party.

Rest time . . .  kinda.

Love you very much Honey and Pops!!  We will see you soon!!!

Abilene, Texas: Diltz Family

At the beginning of August we took a trip to Abilene, Texas to visit the family.  The first part of the week we stayed at Gramma and Poppa D's house.

Drive there:  Our 12 hour trip down I-20 has now turned into 14 hours.  Between  Tuscaloosa and Shreveport we stopped 6 times for someone by the name of Brady needed to pee every few minutes.  We finally got to Gramma and Poppa's house late.

Day 1:  Went for a walk/run.  Then to say "Hi" to Honey and Pops who live just 1/2 mile from Gramma and Poppa.  Lunch made by Gramma  . . .Yum!  Brady napped.  Gramma and I went to yoga class at Sage Yoga.  That night we had family portraits done by Steve Butman.  (hopefully get them soon).  We took two rounds.  One traditional photo on a bench, then break for dinner and some spirited drinks for the adults, and then round two where Brady played in the pool while we watched on.  Cute!!!!!
Poppa D and his little angel that can do no wrong.

Even when she is splashing him.

Day 2:  Happy 3rd Birthday Brady!!!!!  Poppa and I went golfing.  This was my first round of golf . . . EVER.  I hacked my way around the fairway while putting and chipping alright.  I even tried to hit Poppa with the ball that bounced off the tire of the cart and then onto the green. ( I meant to do it.  I am a creative golfer).  Brady played with daddy and Gramma.  We all went to visit Gransy.  She was so excited to see Brady.  Brady ran around Gransy room like a crazy person putting smiles on all that could hear her up and down the halls.  Brady's day was made even better after we ate dinner and she got a huge cake with candles.  Brady liked singing happy birthday to herself and trying to eat the candles.  Gramma and Poppa got Brady her first princess tricycle.

Thank you Billy for not judging my golf skills.
Happy Birthday Pretty Princess!!!
Brady's Princess Bike
Gransy loves her Great Granddaughter.

Day 3:  Up early to eat cake for breakfast . . .yum!!!!  I went to yoga with Gramma while Brady stayed with Poppa and Daddy and played in the pool.  Lunch at Casa Herrera's.  True Tex-Mex!!!  You cant get that in Alabama.  Rest of the day we just hung out with Gramma and Poppa.

Day 4:  Last morning with Gramma and Poppa.  Hanging out and going for a walk.

We had  a great time and cant wait for the next visit.  LOVE YALL!!!!
